Dr. Naif Alajlan
Dr. Naif Alajlan received his B.Sc. (with first class honors) and M.Sc. degrees in Electrical Engineering from King Saud University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in 1998 and 2003, respectively. He received his PhD degree from the University of Waterloo, Waterloo, Ontario, Canada in 2006.
Dr. Naif worked as Systems and Control engineer in the Saudi Basic Industries Co. (SABIC), Riyadh from 1998-2000, then joined the Electrical Engineering Dept., King Saud University as lecturer from 2000-2003. Since 2007, he works as an assistant professor at the Computer Engineering Department, King Saud University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
His current research interests include shape retrieval, pattern recognition and image processing. He authored and co-authored more than 6 journal papers (with high impact factors) and 7 conference papers. He is the founder and director of the Innovation Center and the Advanced Lab for Intelligent Systems Research (ALISR) at King Saud University.
